I almost had a Larry David moment just now at lunch (ah everyone's in a meeting now, so I'm sinfully slacking a little now.)

I was at burger king and I only wanted a burger and a drink BUT the lady kept on telling me that it would be cheaper (30c maybe) if you got the meal, which adds a huge MEDIUM size FRIES. I knew I wouldn't even be able to finish the burger.

If I were larry david I would have told her to give me the burger and coke but keep the fries, but still giving me the meal price.

AND once she objected I would tell her i would just thow the fries away so she'd just better keep the fries and save company money.

I would then have to argue with her the stupidity of the whole meal thing.

AND accuse her and the whole BK chain of plotting to make singaporeans as obese as americans.

AND I wouldn't let anybody from the pissed off queue behind me interrupt

AND the manager will escort me away.

AND I would rant about this to everyone for a whole day and make things worse by going back there to prove im right.

So yeah that's what he would have done. This whole scene flashed in my head for a second, before i decided to take the more costly alternative. She just gave me a weird look. Sometimes its just easier doing things the normal way.

wow i forgot how much i LOVE audiobooks. i used to listen to it all the time when i was small, mostly listening to awesomely narrated roald dahl stories on tape before sleeping.

now im 'reading' the '09 newbery medal award winning the graveyard book by neil gaiman (successfully plugged on the colbert report couple days ago), by listening to it on his tour (yeah yeah how cheap i am)

hes actually a REALLY good story reader!! the last 2 nights were pretty great listening to him. when the book was first released last year, he went to 9 different states in 9 days and read one chapter in each state.

so just now i couldnt wait for tonight to continue listening and at the end of chapter 7 part1 neil read something like

*spoiler*
'..the hand that was in the hole in the floor was holding a large sharp knife. "now," said the man jack,"now boy, time to finish this."' as neil closed the book
*end*

and IMMEDIATELY the audience screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOO!! hahahhah. ULTIMATE CLIFFHANGER

i was like HAH suckers they will have to buy the book or wait for an entire day to see what happens. heh exciting exciting. so i clicked the next part and at that moment the laptop's sound decided not to work anymore. NOOOOOOOO

ok so here i am at the proper computer waiting for the next chapter to load. omg really good book. i like. it was made better by the narration. its about dead people btw. hilarious.
